Jill Sailer, a board-certified CRNA that’s been practicing nursing for more than 17 years, is the owner of Lotus Infusions. She made the transition from working in ICU, ER, and recovery rooms after being deployed four times as an officer in the Army Reserve and having seen firsthand the effects of PTSD and chronic pain.

- Patients can be provided with things like essential oils and calming music. Infusion rooms also have comfortable recliners, noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, and television monitors with visually relaxing atmospheres.

What to Expect
Plan to fast at least 3 hours before your first infusion. And confer with your doctor re: medications that can be taken day-of your treatment. And wear comfortable clothes and arrange for a ride home. If you’re unable to find someone to drive you home, Lotus Infusions will allow for the use of Uber, Lyft, or a different ride-sharing service or taxi. However, the clinic will require you to stay longer after your infusion and you may incur additional fees.
Throughout the infusion, a healthcare professional will be close by to make sure you’re safe and taken care of. Afterward, you might feel sedated or even in a dream-like state; however, according to Lotus Infusions, patients typically recover 20-30 minutes after the infusion. Take it easy the rest of the day, though!
