How Much Does Sermorelin Cost? The 2026 Pricing Guide
Last reviewed and updated: May 5, 2026 — medically reviewed by Dr. Carlene MacMillan, MD.
Sermorelin pricing in 2026 ranges from roughly $96/month at the low end to $400+ per month at premium concierge clinics. The price you pay depends almost entirely on where you get it: Telehealth services have driven the floor down, local peptide clinics charge a premium for in-person care, and the brand-name version (Geref, no longer manufactured in the U.S.) is essentially unavailable at retail. Here is the honest breakdown of what each path costs and what you actually get for the money.

Sermorelin is a prescription medication. Every legitimate path requires a licensed clinician’s prescription. Cost varies by where you get the prescription, where the medication is dispensed, and what additional services (labs, follow-up, dose customization) are bundled into the price.
What Affects Sermorelin Pricing
- Where you get the prescription. Telehealth is the cheapest because it operates at scale with low overhead. Local peptide clinics charge more because they include in-person consultations and labs.
- Where the medication is compounded. 503A compounding pharmacies set their own rates. Costs vary by region and pharmacy. Most reputable telehealth providers contract directly with a partner pharmacy, locking in a wholesale rate.
- Dose strength and duration. Sermorelin is dosed in micrograms (typically 200–500 mcg per night, subcutaneous injection). Higher doses cost more. Many patients run cycles (3 months on, 1 month off) which reduces annual cost.
- Bundled services. Some clinics include the cost of labs (IGF-1, complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel) in the price. Others charge separately. Add-on services like B12, NAD+, or other peptides drive the total higher.
- Subscription vs. one-off. Most providers offer subscription pricing that locks in a monthly rate. One-off purchases are typically 20–30% more expensive.
Telehealth: The Lowest Price Floor
Telehealth providers like Strut Health have driven the price floor for sermorelin to under $100/month for entry tiers. The model works by routing patients through a 5-minute health questionnaire, asynchronous review by a licensed clinician, and direct shipping from a partner 503A compounding pharmacy. There is no in-person consultation; labs are typically optional or self-ordered.
What you pay for: the prescription, the medication, and shipping. What you don’t pay for (and may want to add): pre-treatment labs to confirm baseline IGF-1 and rule out contraindications, ongoing lab monitoring, and a longer-term clinical relationship.

Strut Health publishes its price up front: compounded Sermorelin starting at $99 as a needle-free oral lozenge, or $119 as a subcutaneous injection — both auto-refill. Online intake, doctor review, home delivery — the telehealth price floor this guide covers, from a licensed U.S. pharmacy.
See Strut’s Pricing →Physician consultation required; compounded and dispensed by licensed U.S. pharmacies. HealingMaps may earn a commission through this link — it doesn’t change your price. Compounded sermorelin is not an FDA-approved finished product; eligibility is determined by Strut’s physicians.
Telehealth is the right path if you are healthy, have already done baseline labs through your primary care provider, and want a low-friction way to start sermorelin therapy. It is the wrong path if you have complex underlying conditions, are on multiple medications, or want hands-on clinical guidance.
Local Peptide Clinics: Mid-Range Pricing
Local peptide clinics typically charge $200–$400 per month for sermorelin, plus initial consultation and lab fees ($150–$500 one-time). The total first-year cost runs $3,000–$5,500 once consultation and labs are included. Prices move quickly in this category, so we track what the major telehealth providers actually charge in our ranking of the best sermorelin programs online.
What you pay for: in-person consultations, comprehensive labs, dose customization, longer relationships with the prescribing clinician, and (often) bundled access to other peptide therapies. Many local clinics offer concierge-style care with extended visits, follow-ups, and cross-referrals.
Local clinics are the right path if you want hands-on care, prefer in-person consultation, or have complex health needs that warrant a longer initial workup. Find verified clinics near you in our peptide therapy directory.
Premium Concierge / Longevity Clinics
Concierge longevity clinics in markets like Los Angeles, Miami, and New York charge $300–$600+ per month for sermorelin, often as part of a broader $5,000–$25,000+ annual longevity program. The pricing reflects the bundled services: extended consultations, comprehensive testing (DEXA, advanced lipid panels, hormone panels), customized peptide stacks, and concierge access.
Premium clinics are the right path if you want a single integrated longevity program and have the budget to match. They are the wrong path if your goal is straightforward sermorelin therapy at a sensible price — the markup over telehealth or local-clinic pricing is significant.
Brand-Name Sermorelin (Geref): Mostly Unavailable
Geref was the FDA-approved brand-name sermorelin acetate manufactured by EMD Serono. It was discontinued in the U.S. market in 2008 due to limited commercial demand. Brand-name sermorelin is essentially unavailable in the U.S. retail market today; nearly all sermorelin in clinical use is prepared by 503A compounding pharmacies under prescription.
This matters for cost discussion: there is no brand-name comparator pulling prices upward, no insurance formulary, and no patent protection. The compounded sermorelin market is the only sermorelin market.
Insurance Coverage: Rare
Sermorelin is FDA-approved for adult growth hormone deficiency. In theory, that diagnosis qualifies for insurance coverage. In practice, coverage is rare for several reasons:
- Adult GH deficiency requires specific lab criteria (low IGF-1, stimulation testing) that most patients don’t meet
- Compounded medications are typically not insurance-eligible regardless of indication
- Off-label use for anti-aging, energy, or general wellness is never covered
HSA and FSA funds are sometimes eligible with a letter of medical necessity from the prescribing clinician. Cash pay is the norm.
What “Cheap Sermorelin” Should Make You Suspicious
If you see sermorelin advertised for under $50/month, that is a flag. Legitimate prescription sermorelin from a licensed pharmacy has a real cost floor — the active ingredient itself costs the pharmacy roughly $30–$50/month at typical doses. Anything advertised significantly below that is likely either: (a) sold without a real prescription (gray-market “research peptides”), (b) a teaser promotion that escalates after the first month, or (c) a different product entirely.
Verify any provider before paying: licensed clinician on the prescription, state-licensed pharmacy, USP 797 compliance, certificate of analysis on request, and standard credit-card payment processing. Our broader guide on compounded peptide legitimacy covers the verification framework in more detail.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is sermorelin so much cheaper than HGH?
Sermorelin stimulates your body’s own GH production rather than supplying recombinant human growth hormone. The peptide itself is much smaller and cheaper to synthesize than recombinant HGH. Synthetic HGH (Genotropin, Humatrope) runs $1,000–$3,000+ per month even with insurance.
Is sermorelin worth the cost?
For patients with documented adult GH deficiency, yes. For off-label anti-aging or wellness use, the answer depends on your goals and budget. Most patients report subjective improvements in sleep quality and recovery within 2–3 months. Hard biomarker improvements (IGF-1, body composition) typically take 4–6 months and are modest in scale.
Can I cut costs by buying a larger supply at once?
Some clinics offer 3-month or 6-month bundled pricing at a discount. Subscription pricing typically locks in a 10–20% lower monthly rate. Buying long-term supply outside an established clinical relationship is not advisable — you want regular check-ins with your prescriber.
Are there cheaper alternatives that work as well?
Other growth hormone secretagogue peptides (CJC-1295, ipamorelin, MK-677) work through similar but not identical mechanisms. Cost varies. Some patients respond better to CJC-1295/ipamorelin combinations. Compare these in our Sermorelin vs. CJC-1295 vs. Ipamorelin guide.
The Bottom Line
Sermorelin is a relatively affordable peptide therapy compared to other longevity-focused treatments. Telehealth providers offer the lowest entry point ($96–$199/month). Local peptide clinics provide more comprehensive care at $200–$400/month. Premium concierge programs charge significantly more but bundle broader services. Insurance coverage is rare; cash pay is the norm.
Choose based on your clinical complexity and how hands-on you want your care to be. Healthy patients with a clear goal can start with telehealth. Patients with complex needs benefit from local clinical relationships. Whichever path you choose, verify the prescriber and pharmacy before you pay.
